So, some years ago I found out about a game called 'Poker Night at the Inventory' (and its sequel, Poker Night at the inventory 2').
They're some games made by Telltale in its golden years, before practically becoming bankrupt and temporarily shutting down in 2018.
Honestly, I always found the concept of this game to be rather interesting. To take characters from several IPs and have them interact over what could be marketed as a poker simulator. I mean sure, the main reason I even layed my eyes upon the thing was because Sam & Max were in it, and as the Sam & Max fan I consider myself to be, I've tracked down every appearance of these two in any form of media publicly available, and gobbled it up as if it were a CapriSun in the middle of a desert.
Oh, you don't know what 'Sam & Max' is? Well, that's extremely likely. After Telltale's downfall the 4 remaining S&M fans seem to have scattered, now only making clip compilations of the series and videogames. So yea, I won't explain all of that here, just know that they're two characters that had some comic strips, then some videogames, then a show, and then some more videogames. Pretty neat.
Although I must say, the only thing I haven't witnessed to its completion is the series, 'Sam & Max: Freelance Police'. It's really funny, but I do understand why it was cancelled in the first place. Sure, it doesn't help that I didn't understand as much english as now at the time, but MAN was the dialogue confusing. And the series was intended for children? I don't think an 8 years old would have been able to digest that even if you printed all the animation frames, soaked them with water and mixed the resulting paste with applesauce. Besides, I am really bad at keeping up with shows, as some of you might know already. (I'm currently watching Dan Vs, Dragon Ball GT and Wagnaria Working!!' and things are NOT advancing smoothly)
What was I talking about? Oh yeah, Poker Night! So, really cool project, and I recommend watching this documentary, which made me find about it in the first place, and the sequel one, that I found yesterday, reminding me of the game.
Bye now 🥚
